Most of you may have heard about Malaysian coral imports by now... but may be skeptical or have heard rumors that it’s not possible.

The simple truth, Malaysia has been exporting corals for quite some time, but since Indonesia was the main source. Malaysia has been pretty much the step sister. In my experience so far. She is will no longer be. The big players are coming in strong now.

Quietly....I have been bringing in Malaysian acros since end of last year and all of this year. There are a few variations that I have never seen before, and others similar to Indonesian stock.

I can probably go on and on... but let’s get to the good stuff....

Still so confused why all the mainstream vendors have been slinging Aussie stuff all this time when Malaysia was exporting..?

How is the deepwater/smoothskin Acropora from there? I would expect them to share many of the same species as Indonesia.

It’s not that simple but there’s multiple reasons....there’s the limited quotas, stubbornness to explore, resources....Etc etc.

Deep ones are great. I only posted one.

Number three from the bottom is a great picture! Love the photos.
I know that Malaysia has a small amount of stock going out but your saying not many others have these corals because they haven’t explored and don’t have the resources? I don’t understand how other vendors would not have the resources to get these pieces and I would like to think that the ones that want them have explored.

Those are some true beauties! Do you have any pics of the system these are all in? Is it large shallow frag tanks?
