Ive been looking for a site that has a good selection of scolys and still cant find one. If anyone knows some good websites please lmk. I alread tried corals.com and aquasd
I got my warpaint from AquaSD. They often have scolys on their site that are drop dead gorgeous.
Calikids just added a bunch to their site too...

I have 4 and love them also. Have kept scoly’s close to 4 years now Feeding 2-3 times a week with mysis and keeping temps at 76-77 work really well for me.
Two of my favorites

That seems really overpriced for some somewhat unimpressive specimens. Most of those are only 2 colors, often without an inner ring. Here's WWC's selection (which are still $$$, but in that case you're paying for a reputable seller):

Best check your LFS, CL/eBay, etc.

Did you just get that rainbow?.I saw one like it about a week ago, and didn't snag-it.

no, I’ve had it for a few months. But I did originally get it here on reef2reef from @noahreefer. I believe he is selling another one kinda like this.

This was the original photo of my baby that ruined my life and made me track him down so I could buy it. It’s one of my favorite corals in the tank.

I personally love scolys! They are bigger corals, normally very colorful and bright, can be hand fed and much more. Today let's talk SCOLY!

"Scolymia are one of the most highly sought after large polyp stony corals in the reef keeping hobby. They’ve been popular ever since intensely colored specimens started being imported from Australia. In the past few years, many corals have been reclassified, so what many people call Scolymia such as the ubiquitous Scolymia australis is now Homophyllia australis. Most people in the reef aquarium industry still refer to this coral as a Scolymia.." Excerpt from Tidal Gardens

1. Do you have one or more scoly corals in your reef tank and if so how much do you like them?

2. What are some tips for keeping scolys happy and healthy in your tank?

Love my scolys!! I have 6 in my sandbed, all doing well. Only drawback is I'm hesitant to do a goby/shrimp combo cause I don't want to have to unbury them

It really is beautiful in person. I had to wait about a month though, because it was bleaching in a couple spots. But Noahreefer was really fantastic about it. And he sold it to me for a really awesome price. He has another one that he’s selling right now, but I liked the color on mine a bit more.

Do you have a pic or remember where that other one was??

I have four since I cut a double mouth off of one and cut the remainder in half. The other has remained intact. They healed nicely. They are fed pellets once a week, get everything else out of water column. They are in pretty good flow, still nice and puffy.

I thought they couldnt be propagated through fragging thats really interesting!
I actually fragged a war paint few years ago and they both made it. Took a while to get back into a full circle once it did I fragged it again and traded for other corals.

I‘ve read they can be but not in the typical sense. Like they can be separated and survive but it can take years for them to heal if at all.
I have a frag of one and it's been pretty intense making sure it's doing well everyday, it's getting bigger and bigger as the months go by. So some miracles do happen

Older photos from above comment. First photo scoly that wasn’t cut blowing in the flow. Both original scoly are from the same mother colony

Never owned one, maybe in the future, however, I do like looking at my sand bed also:). On another note, spending $200+ on a named coral is insane. Or to find that the .0003 x .0003 inch $60 frag that you just purchased with a cool name like (ultra, unicorn, rare, corn, fox....) has three different names. ;VomitIf I can find a $10-$60 priced one, I might try it. I fully understand $200+ on colonies, however, spending $200+ on an acro nub or a pinky nail size chalice, or $30 for one pulp Zoa is taxing. ;Drowning, of topic just my .02$
