So this is my Matted Filefish, Pele. He is constantly following me around within the tank begging for food. I love this fish's character and the way that he swims.

This was a very hard choice, but I chose to go with my goby and shrimp pair.

The reason being, they are just so much fun. It’s like a little bulldozer and a foreman giving him directions. I’m not even mad they stole my mermaids fan, or my red flame algae’s. It’s even entertaining watching them snatch a hermit crab to use as a door lol. my goby needs a tiny hard hat.

This is my Clown Trigger showing off. This trigger is always clowning around and even has a smiley face on the on white spot pattern towards its tail. Shot with a Rebel T5i 50mm (85mm equivalent) F2.8 1/100/sec ISO800.

Special because only a handful have ever been in captivity in the US, and I no longer have this fish :( (age - photo is from 3 years ago)
What made you choose the composition you picked?
Shooting fish with a diffused flash is a great way to get a high f-stop, high(ish) shutter speed without the subject getting overly dark. But there's no good trick to getting a good focus on the fish; that just takes practice! But always strive to focus on the eye.
