I just got easy reefs masstick and I don't know exactly how to feed it. So here is what I plan to do:
Take a small amount and drop a bit of RODI water on it in a cup. (I don't intend to feed more than a small amount a day) then take it and stick it to the front glass and back away. I then use the same package leaving the rest of it dried for later use stored how I store my pellets. I have 11 fish and was expecting to feed very little masstick.

I started with it yesterday. 2grams of powder to 1ml water. Knead it up into a ball - it will turn dark after kneading. Stick it on the tank wall. Both of my tanks the fish got on it right away.

I have the ready to use type and I have gone through half of my container so far. I can’t really say if it’s made much of a difference to be fair. I try to stick some on the glass, but my fox face is able to rip it right off and it just floats into the abyss. I also try to put some on the rocks, but the fish never seem to notice it. It’s also pretty expensive to try out if you’re looking to test it. I prefer to use nori if that helps.

Anyone care to share you’re experience with this food...good bad or indifference ?

My experience is that it's good in the right situation. I have a Kole Tang That shows no interest in anything floating. Probably normal for any bristletooth tangs as they are normally specialist scrapers...

I mix Masstick up with NLS Algaemax pellets and NYOS True Algae pellets, then stick all of it to a large frag disc. I place the disc on the bare bottom and he will eat it over the course of the day. To me its a good way to get that particular fish something other than red/green nori and what he grazes around the tank.

Other than my cleaner shrimp, nothing else really takes it. My non herbivorous fish get daily live black and white worms along with food from a feeder delivered right to them via the flow. Maybe they don't have the motivation to go find and figure the stuff out...

I just got the ready to use version and only my Powder Blue Tang will touch it.
All of my fish touch it but i recently ran out so I got to get more. My tangs love it and my diamond goby rips off chunks as do my clowns. My wrasse and chromis pick at it too.

I use it too. I like it and make it the first meal of the day. I put it on the glass before the lights come on. The nice thing about it is the Anthias stay fed for a few hours. They get all the particulates as the tangs and rest of my fish pic at it. I push it against the glass in a manor that forms a thin layer. About as thick as a nickel. It’s been a good product for me and my fish. I like to feed it in the afternoons on the weekends when I get to sit in-front of the tank and watch. It keeps the fish in site so I get to enjoy them more.

ive found the powdered one to be great but the ready made one not so much. i have a couple wrasses, a tomini tang, and blotchy anthias that go crazy for the powdered one, but none of them will touch the premade one.

Every single one of my fish eat it, including the engineer goby who makes it his mission to rip the entire chunk off the glass if possible. I recently switched to easymasstick. I'm a big fan of variety in feeding, so my fish get a mixture of NYOS pellets in the auto feeder 2x a day, and then either easymasstick or goldpods/aquaeggs or LRS Reef Frenzy -- Depending on how much work I want to put into their supplemental feeding. Easymasstick is great for my finicky fish, my newer fish that are still nervous in the tank, and fish who need to eat more meals throughout the day.

So I got a jar of the ready to use stuff today.
I broke a pellet in half and then broke that in half and put one on the rock and one on the glass.
My clowns and tang had zero interest in it and it sat in there for an hour and they really didn't touch it at all. I was a bit bummed. I was hoping they would really like it and it is a nice easy time-release style of eating.

I ordered it for my copperband , but never used it. He ate reef frenzy and mysis out of the water column immediately. I know I'm of no help. :)

I had the same experience

I had the same experience with it as well until I finally got them to taste it and now they love it. I stuck a piece to the glass and kept trying to get them to try it by moving my hand/fingers near it. The Chromis were starving, like always, and were following my hand everywhere but would not touch the Masstick, then I took a coral feeder and just lightly kept touching the Masstick and a couple pieces fell off. Once they tasted it and realized where it was coming from they chowed down on it and will now start munching on it as soon as we put some in the tank.

I think some fish are not yet recognizing it as food so you might try something similar to that, try coaxing your fish over to it with some type of long instrument, lightly bumping the Masstick until a few pieces start to float off of it and hopefully your fish figure it out from there, mine did.

My fish took a little time to figure it out. First day I used it only my indigo dottyback touched it. I attached it to the glass every 3 days or so twice a week. Now that they have figured it out, my fairy wrasse and Blenny’s pick at it throughout the day. Leopard wrasse and clown don’t touch it

thats funny. My Springer’s Dottyback was the first one to only touch it. and after he started to break it up the tang got some. Now the tang will eat off it on the rock but the clowns still dont touch it

Give them time, once they realize it's food I'm confident they'll go for it as well
