Question for you guys. Would you run the stock ac return pumps or 2 higher powered dc pumps? I ordered 2 dc2500’s that are 660gph each. These were the best value and close to the IM dc pumps gph.

My stock pump from my IM30L was really noisy. I wonder if those ac ones are noisy.

My vote would be with the dcp 2500 for controllability

Yeah, the stock pump on my 30l was alright but the dc pumps are dead silent in my experience. I still have time to return the hygger power heads if they aren't enough in the new tank. If they aren't I may pick up the Jebao SLW series. At 1600gph each plus 2 return pumps I would thing it would be plenty. They will dig out the sand bed slightly in the 30l now but they are a very wide flow pattern so we will see I guess.

This thread gave me inspiration to get my 30g Long tank going. I ordered a custom version since I couldn’t deal with the AIO maintenance anymore.
I look forward to the new build

I am a bit late to the party by a a couple years but I LOVE the way your APS stand came out and I am not digging the color of mine either. I was wondering if you could share with me what paint did you use?

I actually still have the can from Home Depot in case I ever decide to do another like that. I used a roller to put it on.

I went to Home Depot and was disappointed they did not have that particular paint but looking in my basement I found a quart of this paint which I recently bought to touch up my kitchen cabinets. I wonder if this will do the job as I want to paint the stand white.
