I have a maxspect jump blue currently on my tank and have a couple of questions for anyone who uses this light. Running the 20k auto mode sps with a slight adjustment for sunset. Question is, while running the auto mode the manual says all channels must be at 100%. According to what I've read, this produces the AB+ spectrum. So, I'm wondering if it is counterproductive to adjust the non blue channels down to 24%, and if doing so simply changes the intensity, or if it changes the spectrum away from the aforementioned AB+? I had set it to 16k for 4 hours and then reduced the non blue channels to 24% for another 4 hours mimicking what WWC suggested. The app doesn't give you an overall intensity, so it's hard to gauge what the adjustments actually do to the output. Any information is appreciated, thanks.

Looking to buy these lights and wondering if the blue still has good whites? Have a redsea 350 which is 47” long and wondering if I need 2 or 3 of these.

The blue version has a good "whiter" spectrum. It comes with presets for 12k, 16k, and 20k as well. BRS in there light tests suggested that these may be better, spread etc, for 18"x18" square coverage. I would suggest 3 if doing a lot of sps or depending on aquascape. I'm running my blue version on a waterbox 20 which is 17" x 14" display. 16" deep. Light is 11" above the waterline. Sps heavy. Across and montipora. Some lps, torches, chalice, hammers, favites, etc. All are growing well.
