That’s the plan! It’ll get here sometime this week, once it does I’ll be doing some serious scrubbing and pull the chemipure out. I’ll continue testing as usual to monitor everything, really hoping I can let it go 3 weeks without a wc, but if not I’ll have plenty of fluconazole leftover. Really excited to see how it goes! Thanks! :D
no problem! I kept feeding/dosing 2 part like normal and my tank honestly did not react at all except the algae melted away. Most satisfying thing ever to watch a big chunk of bryopsis turn grey/white and disappear... :)

Flucon is here >: )
I should be able to dose it tonight, and I’ll probably make another thread to document how it goes

Seeing the great progress you had gives me hope. I'm looking to downsize from a 20g to a 5 in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks! :D
It can definitely take more time and micromanaging than a bigger tank (I had a 36g), but that just means I get to enjoy it that much more. But not a lot harder as long as you keep on top of everything. Good luck, I’ll be following your build thread!

Flucons still working, but it already looks so much better! I did a 20% wc with more medicated water. It’ll look a lot better after the glass is scrubbed!
The barnacle blenny on the left side finally switched barnacles because hers kept getting knocked out of place

Another 20% wc, I’m trying to keep this hair algae in its place

I’ve got a new light on the way. The ABI tuna blue that I’ve been using works, but I’ve noticed that my corals only get good color in the orange/red range, and I think it may have to do with the spectrum. The ABI also has narrow lenses, so there’s clumps of UV light that nothing likes to be under. Here’s the spectrum advertised by ABI:

It mostly just has blue, which would limit what pigment the corals develop. The light I ordered is a Luxbird full spectrum par38, and here’s its advertised spectrum:

It should be here in a couple days, so we’ll see how it does!

It’s here! Good first impression- I like the frosting over the LEDs, it makes for really even color spread. It is a lot whiter than I expected, though (my walls are blue so it’s hard to tell in the picture). I ran it for an hour in the middle of the day, I’ll probably get another outlet timer and slowly increase its runtime to switch over.
