It was an honor to serve this great country from 91 to 97. Wait, did I just date myself;).

88-92 here. I was a "glow worm".

Tactical nuclear weapons maintenance tech. 55G.

Was one of the last to work on nukes in the army before they took them off line.

I was fine with everything until this:

oh yeah and Ford buy a Chrysler for Christ's sake! :p

That’s low, man. That’s low. I expect better from you! :D

Other than that, you can rattle my cage any time!

First Name:

I actually go by my middle name, but my full name is Stephen Randy Holmes-Farley

Why You chose your screen name: I'll let you figure this one out.

Current Tank Specs: 120 gallon mixed tank, large blue gigantea carpet anemone with ocellaris clown trio is the highlight.

Details are here:
https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/re...es-farley/172508-randys-tank-description.html

Area of strength in the hobby: chemistry and science in general

How long in the Hobby: 19 years, earlier with fresh; started with a tank planted with local water plants and lots of baby bullheads that I collected in a local stream in the early to mid 1970's. :)

Favorite hobby outside reefing: photography, reading science fiction (I even wrote a Sci Fi book, but haven't published it)

Anything else?: My wife and I started dating in 1977, married a few years later. Have two adopted daughters (14 and 17). Starting to go on college/conservatory visits with the older one, who is going to study classical saxophone. Currently have two beagles. Like to spend free time at our vacation home in Rockport, Massachusetts, across the street from the ocean. I'm a professional chemist and have worked in drug discovery for more than 20 years. I'm presently a consultant, with expertise in polymer therapeutics and biomaterials.

First name: Kyle

Age: 33

Started Reef Keeping: 2017

Why you choose your user name: I am self employed (Family owned medium sized Asphalt Paving Business). Hot Rocks + Oil = Asphalt. I have used the screen name for years!

Favorite fish: This is a very hard one for me, my primary interest in the hobby is fish. I love them all! If I have to pick one, Achilles Tang.

Favorite coral: Zoas and Shrooms! Anything bright and colorful that isn't impossible to keep!

About Me: I have been with my wife Audrey for 16 years (Married for 11 of the 16). We have two beautiful daughters, ages 2 and 4. I am 100 miles an hour all the time between work, life, and of course "The Hobby". My other interests/hobbies are Cars, and remote control heli's, airplanes, and Drones (I have been in the RC hobby since age 14). Oh and I am OCD!

My contributions here at R2R are primarily the disease forum and helping others properly QT, diagnose, and treat various ailments in marine fish. I am highly intrigued by marine fish disease, constantly working with other members of the community experimenting with various methods, meds, and tools to try to make this easier for all of us!

My Current Tank is a RSR 750XXL. Inhabitants are Several Zebrasoma/Acanthurus Tangs, Regal Angel, Moorish Idol, and Leopard Wrasse to name a few!
I also have a RSR Nano being used as a Coral/Invert QT, and 40b/55g fish QT tanks.
Edit: I dove head first into Acros this spring and added a Red Sea 425XL to the fleet :)

Pretty much the only thing I haven't dabbled much in in the construction industry, few patches here and there but for the most part, you can keep all that sticky, boot melting mess! ;) Great to see you on the mod team @HotRocks Congrats!!
