I just took these!

I bathed him in the sunlight (in his travel cage).

Not true!!!

Look!

The best part is that I can leave my canopy closed 24/7 with the LEDs, so even if it was crooked, you guys can’t see it!

I set the blues to max and I barely added any whites. I think I much prefer blue tanks over whites. I want to maximize the fluorescence.

This is a very nice set up you have here. Kudos to you

Thank you. That quoted post was when I tried my LEDs for a few hours, but went back to T5’s almost immediately after the photo was taken.

I have been out of town for a few days (I miss home).

I haven’t changed my T5 bulbs in over 2 years! Bulk Reef Supply finally got the Blue Plus bulbs in stock. I changed 16 T5 bulbs within a month haha.

I always found I got best longevity with giesemann tubes when i ran t5. Im sure i ran them longer than i should mind on occasion. As long as the corals are unaffected thats all that matters though

I heard T5s spectrum goes to green/red as they get older

I also heard that, but the par output does get lower overtime.

BRS did a study, but I forgot the exact numbers. My goal is to change my bulbs every 2 years.
