Hey guys and gals,

So tank is up and running and fish are in and turned on skimmer.... I’m getting a ton of micro bubbles in the tank, partially cause of where I had to put my skimmer in the sump cause of the size but also know it’s brand new and that is somewhat common... I was wondering if I put a course filter pad between the skimmer sump section and the return pump section if that would help with reducing the micro bibles.... see picture below.... unless you guys have any better idea I’m all ears....

I can't tell if there is a bubble trap between the skimmer and the return chambers. If not, then yes you could try a filter pad between the sections. That might or not work but even if it doesn't, it won't hurt anything.

No unfortunately this sump doesn’t have a bubble trap
