Posting pics of micro organisims we've spotted using our very average work microscope. Feel free to identify any that you may know. This sample is from my 1 year old nano AIO chamber. It has been sitting for a week.

Will be taking more samples tomorrow from my other systems and will post more pics in this thread.

Nice pics! These are all diatoms. (pic 2 is a diatom on an unusually colored cyano filament)

Thanks. Thought that may be the case! Tank is macroalgae with sandstone so lots of silica for diatoms.

Any idea what the creature in the video may be?

P.s really enjoy your articles and informative threads. Busy working my way through them and the ones I've read so far have been a huge help!

It's a copepod nauplius (juvenile stage).

Top is a copepod shed, bottom may be a ciliate, but I'd need to see more pics or vid.

here's an interesting one. Taken from a sediment sample in my display.
That's a cool ciliate. Those monster take every imaginable form.
