I tried it on my last tank. Aio 8g or so. Eventually water stopped going into the body of the skimmer and it ended up just being a big air pocket gap.
Hope it works better for you. Keep it clean.
D
So far it has only been running about 2 weeks, dialed in nicely and pulling out wet tea green/yellow skimmate. But I am impressed with the amount of oxygen bubbles making contact with my water column. I have cover tops not allowing evaporation to occur as much. So I needed this badly for the oxy intake via the skimmer. Hopefully that makes sense.

Using RedSea Alk/DKh to help me reach an 8.0 as my current weekly test show 6.9. I am getting some nice coraline growth on my rocks. Been lucky no nuisance algae yet. Cross my fingers.

System is approaching 4 months and is stable to receive the first 3 SPS corals.

In only 12 gallons AIO, I am venturing into new frontier with SPS sticks.

Update, I had a small setback. One of my SPS corals started to STN and then my LFS helped me out. Picked up Eco-Balance Dr. Tim's solution marine safe bacteria. It is suppose to help defend against the bad bacteria that entered my small 12 gallon system. I brought home 3 corals from Reefapooloza Orlando, and I didn't dip them. Well the STN spread to another one of my SPS acros and then RTN hit overnight. I was able to use my bone crushing sears and save what I could by fragging the strong pieces that had not been hit.

Next, I placed Dr. Tim's solution and shut off skimmer, UV and removed all foam and charcoal. So far, just one dose is all I got in and will repeat it one week from when I started. All is looking much better and RTN has stopped and STN looks like it is in check.

Also, I inherited by brothers 12 gallon identical tank to mine, his is all LPS corals only, but we both run same components: AI 16 HD prime fixtures, Chill Solutions chillers, Coralife 5 watt UV, Gnome glass skimmers, and we run the same media in our basket with Innovative Marine cheato 9watt LEDs, Sicce return pumps and Nero 3's for water movement.

Now, I have two 12 gallon systems on each side of my dinning table. Here is video of my systems, they are 5 months young and still going.

I will keep all updated on the STN and RTN of my corals using the Eco-Balance solution.

Some reefing friends wanted to see a walk through of my 3 systems. I now have a LPS system, 12 gallons alongside it's sister of 12 gallons but SPS only tank. The real beauty is my 30 gallon TEMPERATE SYSTEM which is fully operational at 55F degrees of COOLNESS, I am just waiting for my receiving license from Dept of Fish and Game in California. Enjoy the video so you can see where I will fit my Temperate anemones and fish.

Anyone a fan of FTS? My two systems added together barely make 20 gallons of volume.

Update on my SPS tank. SPS are stable and starting to grow. Found balance between phosphate/nitrates and my cheato growth. I have a ULNS and dose BrightWell Neo Nitro and Neo Phos.

Beautiful tanks! You're working with a lot of hardware/tech in such an enclosed space, it's impressive. I love the SPS and LPS distinctive setups too. Any chance we can get some closer shots of your LPS tank if you don't mind? Also what coral do you have in it? I'm think I'm going to dabble in LPS before I attempt my luck with SPS.

Here is a close up of the SPS 12 gallon system the. I did a small macro of them so you can see why SPS are so addictive in our nanos.

Orphek filter arrived to displace the blues that our smart phones cannot remove. I was able to capture the real colors of my SPS in just 12 gallons of ocean water, enjoy.
