Received my $12 microscope today. I can tell why it was so cheap.
I thought I had dinos, but my nutrient levels are high. Acts like dinos, but maybe cyano?? So I got a scope and took some pics. It looks like maybe it's not getting the zoom it claims??

Here are the pics - looks super far away compared to all the pics I've researched online. This is my microscope's version of 400x

Please help with what I need to do to get a better sample if needed or help me ID if possible:

I can't tell everything that is in it, but your main problem is cyano.

Are those the red strings? Would Dino’s be this big in the pics?

Yup, the red strings are cyano. The dino's will look like smallish circles. You may have some, but the little dots aren't clear enough for me to tell. Either way, I don't see too many of them.
