Hey all

Got a question for everyone, I have a colony of zoas on a bit of rock. It’s never done very well.

However I’m hoping my new tank will sort that out.

Will it spread onto the live rock? Does it build its skeleton and grow on that? Just trying to understand the mechanics.

Cheers

it is a soft coral, so it doesnt build a skeleton like sps and lps corals do.

A new polyp will grow at the base of existing polyp, and will keep on growing side by side by side until they cover an area.
