I agree with @fishguy242 for algae control with a tomini.

If it was me, since you don’t have a top I would go

1x tomini
1x springeri damsel
1x copper band

That is me though lol.
sounds like a plan. the tomini and springeri will be first time for me.

I love my springeri in my frag tanks. I don’t have pests, but have a crap ton of pods. It helped with that so much. Not that pods are bad, but in large quantities they annoy the heck out of zoas.

stand painting has commenced.
the mrs is helping.... with commentary.... "you know, you are painting the floor." always helpful.

trip to the lfs for frozen and salt. I don't know how any one is just getting started in this hobby......
small copperband $100
small/medium tomini $80
flame angel $150
lyretail anthias, the only fish I hadn't seen a price jump since indo & COVID, went from $35 last week to $55. sad.

I used a different LFS for fish vs corals & supplies. Coral prices went up significantly, can't blame them - still get some stuff there and supplies there. Fish place didn't raise their prices and ended up having to close :(

Totally understand supply/demand & the covid airfare thing, but the prices have gone way up. The average box price went up $100 - $200. If you get 15-20 fish in there that's around $10 per fish, but some fish doubled in price. Doesn't add up. I understand the margins are pretty small in fish stores, but if you price your inventory too high, it sits.... hard to maintain a business if inventory doesn't move.
