Ok, testing done.

I thought PO4 was a bad test last week.
Came in at .018 today so that seems right to me.

NO3 was at 16 last week I believe due to the prior chemiclean and lights out treatment and die off. Measured 10 today. Great.

Alk at 8.

So all is well. I still need to replace my UV lamp.

And I have yet to see the melanarus wrasse today. I’m not too worried as it seems it takes them a few days or longer to adjust.

Off to mowing and yard work before the next round of storms come thru later today.

@RichtheReefer21 mine hasn't touched any of mine...

Hey Fudsey, I was looking at a trachy at the LFS over the weekend. It was maybe 1”.

Out of curiosity, how big is yours?

Trachy that is!

I have a feeling pics make them look larger.

Thanks!

Depends, inflated or deflated?

Inflated, probably 8-10" x 6-8".
Deflated, around 2"x 4".

Thanks! I have pretty strong lighting on the sand bed, 80-100 par at the corners, 120-150 front and center. And lots of flow.

Is that too much for a trachy, Or is that ok?

Just had to make this my first post on the site. Great thread and awesome build @mta_morrow !! I spent way too many hours reading through this build post over the weekend lol. Looks like this place has no shortage of folks with a ton of knowledge who are willing to share. I'm just starting out with the saltwater side of the house of aquariums, so I'll have to live vicariously thru y'all until I'm brave enough to expand beyond a FOWLR set up ;Woot

Yesterday was quite the day.

I will do 2 separate posts.

First the good post!

Last evening I had the pleasure of meeting and hosting @dbl at my house!

He is on vacation here at Hilton Head with his full family and took some time to pay me a visit.

David turned out to be a lot nicer than what I was hearing so that was a relief!

I’m the one with hair.

Now the not so good. Later last evening it STORMED! Flash flood warnings issued and by golly if it didn’t flash flood in my neighborhood!

It was too dark and dangerous to get any pics last night, but I will try to show what flooded.

This is standing at the top of my driveway. EVERYTHING you see, up to 1/3 of the way up my driveway was under water! And I mean everything! You can see my neighbors across the street cleaning up. Water was in their garages.

This pic shows the debris line up in my yard. And everything you see below it was under water last night.

Also have to get a roofer out[emoji853]

We started hearing the drips and just sunk.

Sure enough there is a water spot in the ceiling this morning. The house is only 5 years old. Hopefully still under the builders warranty. I’m the second owner so who knows.

Power flickered but never went out.

Time to test run the generator and get fresh gas for it!
