The mouth may have an injury. I have never seen a cleaner shrimp that close to a nems mouth. Wow. If it is injured, it should heal if left alone. If not then it needs to be in a hospital tank so it can heal.

I think I will catch and sump the cleaner shrimp. I have seen them dig into my LTA as well and that’s probably why it moved.

Ok, while I had good par (280), I was at approx 17k.

I am now at 12 k and 290 par.

Definitely a “whiter tank”.

All other nems are super healthy as well as a 6” deresa.

The shrimp are always all over the mag when I feed the tank.

I like my shrimp, but for now I believe I will catch and sump them.......much easier said than done!

I just put my coral banded in my sump. For now the cleaner shrimp is safe... for now.

Praying the mag recovers. If it was the shrimp bugging it badly, once it is out of the DT you should see the mag start to expand more. Kinda like when a clam is getting nipped at. Little time of not getting harassed and they bounce back.

Just keep an eye on the mag and let us know how it is doing. If it does come to needing a HT and cipro, I can ship you some cipro. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

I appreciate your help more than you can imagine.

There are a lot of great, knowledgeable reefers here that are always willing to help.

Thank you for being one of them @Eagle_Steve

I will get the shrimp out first thing in the morning and will be posting regular updates here.

The shrimp are in the sump.

It was actually very quick!

Moved some rock work to give me some room and then less than 5 minutes I had them both.

Now there are no irritants, a more favorable light spectrum and an acceptable par level.

Now we wait ..........

How is the tank and trigger doing?
Everything is spot on except for my Magnifica nem.

I can’t believe how much a trigger eats! I am buying fresh clams and shrimp just for him!

I will feed him a couple chunks till he is acting full. Then I feed the tank. If I don’t feed him first I think everybody else may starve!

@Eagle_Steve I’ve had the shrimp out for 2 weeks. The nem looks the same. Not getting better or worse.

Lights are still at 12K and 300 par at the nem.

Should I just sit tight a bit longer?

It is gonna take a while for the nem to recover. Is it puffing up anymore than it was? Can ya post a new pic?

I am not sure. Looking at your posts last 4 pages, it does not seem that he is sick but he is just not happy. Don't feed him much, I find that Magnifica does not eat anywhere near as much as Gigatea or Haddoni. Remove the shrimps is the right call IMO. Just watch him for a few days then decide what to do next. If he deflates, then treat him but if he just decline, I would just watch him.
Do you have option of move him to a different tank?
