Is there a required or recommended "minimum" flow rate for the Clarisea 3000? I see that the general recommended flow rate is ~800gph. That said, is there any loss of performance with lets say 50%, 20%, 10% of that recommendation?

Part of my wants to think that the lower flow rate will mean less filter paper being used, but another part of me believes that lower flow rate = lower velocity of water passing through the filter paper, meaning the detritus will not be sticking to the filter paper and removed.

Thoughts?

Looked like the sponsor was not as active here so I contacted them directly and got this response:

"There is no problem running the Clarisea at lower flow rates so your first assumption about increased life from the fleece was absolutely correct.

The filter actually traps the fines and moves on when blocked.

It is an ideal way of giving clear water"
