To anyone that remembers my vacation debacle in February of 2017, and knows I sold my 180 angel and 125 wrasse tank -- you may know I was down to very few fish and little coral after the incident.

https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/such-a-sad-day.291496/

Anyway, I've saved rock and the leathers and a few polyps that survived and here is what I have. Two tangs, and a bunch of cheap leathers (chevron tang and a kole tang)

Long way to go, but starting up now that I'm in my new house!

I also have 4 rare BTA of various variety I'll have you all identify and some zoa and other corals in quarantine. 60 days until they're added!

Will work on the white Red Sea Reefer 170 next!

I heard it's a good omen to pee in the spot you plan to put your tank when buying a new house. Please tell me you did this?

Congrats for getting into your new home. The tank looks awesome! Can't wait to see more goodies in it! Glad your back.

Looking good, I like your rockscape. What are your fish plans?
I'm bringing my tangs back, and perhaps a regal angel. Flame hawk, ywg, leopard wrasses, melanarus wrasse, etc.

It'll be a long road of quarantining!

Readying the 55 gal quarantine. A HOB filter from an established Rubbermaid coral and rock QT, a little partially live sand I couldn't remove easily (but will with first water change), bio spira starting today and stability since Sunday when I set it up. Polyfiber pad for bacteria colonization until I dose copper.

Awaiting my ammonia badge and some testing yo see how I'm doing and how bad my water changes will have to be when I buy my first batch of fish, hopefully next week!

I set up my RO after my softener with a kill switch/float valve for the 44 gal brute mixing station/water storage!

Needs a bit of glass cleaning and some more PVC structure this weekend!

Update:

Everyone doing well, waiting on regal angel to eat but he won’t know what hit him when the live blackworms come this afternoon!

Dr Tim’s and biospira marine really Work wonders on fast cycling. That ammonia alert badge is yellow solid even with all of these sudden fish additions. Sign me up!

Highly recommend. Used both. Continued to dose dr Tims for 4 days. 2 days prior and 2 days after. Biospira twice. Day one it was set up, and day 3. All I had was some barely seeded sponge from DT that only had 5 days to seed and a HOB filter from a live rock bin that was very small.

I credit most of this to the bacteria products. I fully intended on the need for large water changes!

Looking great, I love the powder blue, one of my favorite fish, one day I will get around to finishing my basement so I can get a big enough tank to have one.

Hmm... the auto update feature on your build thread doesn't seem to be working correctly.

You may need to post some manual updates so we can follow along! ;)
