About 3 months ago I wanted this question answered. I got some in on my first Monti to be added to my tank. (I dipped and thought that would be sufficient, IT WASNT) But no one seemed to know. So I removed my Monti and in 2 months, I added another Monti. That Monti has been healthy and growing for a month and no signs of the little devils. So I wanted to share this information. Without a host, they did not survive more than 2 months. It may well have been shorter.

Good anecdotal info. At least you have a protocol regardless.
