I glued this plug near the Monti's growing flourishing edge....
I glued it well and was proud of how well the placement went ....
After almost a month, it created a calcium outrigger and fully surrounded it before starting to cover it at all!

Just figured some of you have experienced similar "nature wins" type of scenarios and thought ...
I'd like to hear more fun fragging didn't work type scenarios. What didn't work for you?

After trimming back the GSP, instead of throwing it away I decided to try making a hanging frag. Had some circle scraps from some sheet plastic, glued the GSP to it, tied some fishing line to that and threw it in the tank. DOH! The plastic floats. ;Facepalm
So I ended up with floating GSP mines instead.;Joyful

They grow to which ever way its easiest. Ive long sense given up making them grow the way I want them to.

Keep in mind, this is your typical monti cap that is supposed to grown into shelves... i even glued it right on the edge. Except it decided to grow and curve DOWN. So now it's kind of like a "skirt" or "bell"
