Around 3 months ago I got a chunk of Cherry tree monti from a local frag swap. In the time I had it it has only grown roughly 1/2 inch onto the rock, and lost a lot of that deep red coloration. Currently it is a light shade of pink. It’s in about 200 par (68 watts of Radion and 60 watts of bar lights).

My water params:
Temp: 79
pH: 8-8.1
Alk: 9.5
Cal: 480
Mag: 1500
NO3: 5-10 ppm
PO4: ~0.1 ppm

i would suggest to raise it up, give it much more PAR. And flow too. Strong lights and strong flow will make it grow and color up.

I may break off a chunk and see how it does in higher flow and light, but I may also wait and see how it does since my alk hasn’t been super stable.

I’m thinking too much light, although 200, not out of the question.
It’s getting lighter, not darker.
I keep in 150par. I have another in 100par. 59446DAB-7032-44CD-8944-764AA0D5DD4F.jpeg

If it has enough light and flow, you may wish to check your potassium level.
