I just got a 40 gallon tank a few days ago. The water has been in it for 3 days so it’s not even close to being cycled. I was wondering if I can quickly take that water out and move the aquarium about 5 feet over and then put the water right back in because I realized I can’t have it where it is now.

That sounds okay to me. I would keep most of the substrate and any rock submerged in the same water if you can to not kill any good bacteria forming.
