In the pic below are two of my favorite residents. I didn't put them there -- they both moved to that spot, without even filling out the proper paperwork!

I'd like to think I might end up with the most beautiful hybrid ever and sell the babies to pay for my tank, but I suspect that's not how biology works. :( More likely, I think the nem will sting my shroom.

What do I do? Will the shroom survive and move away? I don't want to move them because I think I'll probably hurt them trying to get them off the rock.

You're going to have e to mo e one or the other. Usually, a little consistent pressure will get a nem to release. It may just move back to the same spot.

Surprisingly, it almost looks like the nem is the one backing off.

Since this is the 'shroom forum, go discosoma!

They were definitely almost touching before I tried to grab the nem just now, and no one seemed the worse for wear. Be he's got a hole he curls up into there, so there's no getting him out in one piece.

One or the other will move... slowly, but surely. In the meantime, one will kind of “refrain” from touching the other
