Getting a couple of loose mushrooms tomorrow. Should I put them in the general area that I want them and let them decide where they are happy, or glue them down? I don't know how far they generally wander.

Yep - glue the buggers down. Eventually, they will split into babies and wonder anyway. I have watermelons dang near everywhere.

I had my Ultra Red Mushroom glued to a rock, slowly growing and last night found it on the sand, with a turbo snail grazing the rock. Removed the snail and the mushroom fell off the rock. I might have to glue it again...right now it is in a DIY mushroom cage hoping it will attach itself to a piece of rubble rock again. This morning it was just tumbling around the tank.
