Mushrooms turning translucent/white

I have two higher end mushroom that are losing color and becoming transparent/translucent or white

What can I do to help them?

They have been in the sand bed. Other mushrooms seem fine along with other corals

Salinity 1.027

Nitrates: 2-5

KH: 10.2 - 10.5

Ca: 460-470

Phos: 0.1 - 0.2

pH: 8

Very sorry this is happening.

They look like they are on their way out but you can try an Iodine dip and see if it helps.

Low low flow and low low par for recovery.

But once they get going white it's hard to get them to stop.

This could have been from a number of things but change in parameters is most likely the cause.

If the shrooms came from a tank that has alk around 8 and p04 and n03 really low then that means your system is running at a higher nutrient level and that could have contributed.

And then there the hard part with shroom...sometimes they just melt for no real reason :anxious-face-with-sweat: I mean there's always a reason but it seems like sometimes there isn't one.

I appreciate the feedback. I’ll focus on continuing to update my system to keep it as stable as possible!

I do believe my system runs higher than most in those areas

the bounce looks better than the jawbreaker…

I’ll get them on the “recovery rack”
