I have a new quietone 600 for a return and will be building the stand and hood next week. I curently have a 92 bow running and will be tranfering everything over a lil at a time my first couple pics are of my bow and how bad it is going to hurt to take it down.

Carolina reef growers did it with staphire on three sides, BlacK silocone for a lil over $700.00. Glass cages wanted $1250.00 shipped and Joe only lived 2 hours away so it saved me on shipping and on the tank cost. I actually was looking into building my own but for that cost I wasnt going to take a chance.

Looks great, a really clean setup! Is the sump going in the stand, or are you going to plumb it in the basement? I only ask because those doors look a little narrow to slide a sump into, no?

The sump will go in the stand. It looks smaller than what it is. The opening is 16 inches. I have not made up my mind If I want to hard plumb it or go with a hoses again. I am just to afraid I will change my mind on something 4 months down the road and with hoses the can bend and role and be moved very easy. Verses pvc its FIXED to one spot and thats it.

Well got the lights up today. Looks like the tank is going to have to wait till next weekend. To the bonus I only had to use 1 fan per heat sink. Dosnt even get close to getting hot at all.

And the good thing its not permanent. If I ever sell the house. The stand can be pulled away from the wall with all the base molding and chair molding still intact. Now the hood will be a lil harder but the repaire to the wall will be very lil.

Thanx. I think I am going to be able to set the tank this morning. I have a buddy of mine that owns a granite company coming over to measure my counter tops in the kitchen. And I am going to put granite around the base of the tank to hide the soft pad and the seem in the glass. It will hang over the lip of the stand about 2 inches with a nice rounded edge on it. And while he is hear he can help me carry the tank from the garage. lol

Well the tank is on the stand now. I will put the black vinyl on the back and side later tonight and post a pic.
