It was at this time I realized I had a predator in the tank killing fish. One of my clowns was gone and the fox face was found dead with both eyes missing. My wife said she could here a clicking noise at night that got louder, so we turned off the lights one night and watched the tank with red led lights and found 2 pistol shrimp and a mantis shrimp. We tried using a trap to get them out was told by the LFS they would let me swap them for something if I could catch them. No traps worked after 2 months I had given up and did some research by this time the only inhabitants in the tank was one yellow tang and the regal tang. So I bought a bamboo cat shark he was very small about 8 inches when I got him. I knew he would not be able to stay in this tank for long so I put him in and took good care of him, it was about 2 weeks in everything was settling down him and the tangs got along well. One night late I could here the water in the tank splashing around a lot, I got up to check on the tank because a friend of mine had one break and the shark was chasing the mantis shrimp around the tank it was an epic battle I had to remove some of the rocks to give the shark some room. After this I started to find him a new home he reached 21 inches in my tank before I donated him to a friend that put him in a 400 gallon he was then donated to a public aquarium.
