I didn't use the carbon it came with actually took it out.... but filter floss is great....I read somewhere that some carbon can cause hole in the head....

Yeah I use chemi pure. Not just any carbon. And you won't need carbon for awhile probably.

Day 10 same results as day 9 didn't move at all.
Day 11-12 didn't get to test
Day 13 Ammonia 0.25, Nitrite 0.25, Nitrate 1 so hopefully that is a good sign. I went ahead and add 4 drops per gallon as stated in the bottle. Re tested for ammonia an hour later it read 1.5... Hopefully tomorrow it is less.
40g finally setup and clear :
Not the light I will be Using just the one it came with...looks really purple the picture but not in person.

Thanks really appreciate it! Yeah now that I stand back and look at it...it is nice. But when I was setting it up it was a pain lol. I really hope so. I'm going to try and take some pictures during the day... You think I should move thread to the AIO or just leave it here and update the thread(first page and title)? Hmmm

Well the AIO people are nutty in a good way so you could start a new thread and link this one in the description opening post. The AIO people will probably be good help for you. They know everything about all the chambers and Add ons for these things. Then you can link the new thread here. Idk. Just a thought.

Yeah that sounds like a plan...oh and I decided to keep the light and probably hang it because I was going to have to pay 9.99 for postage, 10% restocking fee around $45 and all this was going to be deducted from what I paid $311. Then I would have to pay the difference for the smaller one which was around $145 extra out of pocket lol

Yeah that seems like a lot of extraness... the light that came with that tank will be fine for awhile I think. At least with fish should be fine. Might be fine with softies too. But I wouldn't worry about it till you have corals to worry about.

The guy at the store said I will be able to grow soft corals....yeah I need to start a thread to get advice how to hang it especially because the ceiling is slanted.
