Quick pic of some of the acros we are growing out for this tank. They're really taking off growth wise in the evo. Coloring up nicely now that we got the phosphates a little higher as well.

Love this pic and how the shrimp decided to pose in a perfect spot for the camera lol

Well, wife did a water change today and siphoned as much dinoflagellate out as she could. Starting to get a little hair algae, but not much. Corals are a little angry from being messed with, and she mounted some of the new frags (zoas, ricordea, and micro lords). Also removed 4 handfuls of Caulerpa from the sump today, as the refugium was completely filled.

In bad news, the lineatus hasn't eaten since it came home. We've tried frozen mysis soaked in selcon, plain frozen mysis, live baby brine, TDO pellets, NLS pellets, and pacific plankton from rod's food. Also haven't seen either of the new tilefish eat, but they're really shy. First time coming out of hiding today since adding them to the tank.

You give me hope. I thought my 75 gal was fully stocked.:p
I tend to really overstock my tanks, and also have the ability to move fish and corals to other systems if need be. And even though pics look good, I've been battling dinoflagellates, due to high phosphate and 0 nitrate. We are going to start dosing nitrate as soon as it arrives from BRS to hopefully finally solve this issue.

If you stock heavy you need to feed even heavier, know your fish REALLY well, and have backup plans in place if things don't work out.

Sorry to hear that your lineatus isn’t eating yet. Try some LRS fish frenzy. I’ve never had a wrasse refuse to eat it.

I'll see if I can find some locally tomorrow. Most of our LFS are closed on Mondays, and not sure they carry LRS. Also going to see if I can pickup some more Rod's frozen fish eggs, some Rod's breeder blend, some Rod's original reef blend, and some live adult brine shrimp. Try a bit of all of them to stimulate appetite.

Fingers crossed you find something it‘ll eat. How’s it looking? Any pinching behind the head?

Not really behind the head that we could see. Just looks skinny compared to all the rest. We did not see it at all today though. So it was either hiding in the rocks or died and was completely eaten by CUC.

Not giving up hope though. Hadn't seen either of the new tilefish since they were added, but one came out to swim for a bit today, and we saw the other peaking out of the massive goby burrow earlier.

I’m sending positive vibes for a good outcome!

Update: Lineatus from ReefPros didn't make it. She never ate. Wife found her dead today when she got home from work. Body looks super skinny, no signs of bullying, torn fins, or other issues, just never ate and wasted away.

Update: the fathead anthias and fourmanoiri tilefish are coming out more frequently and both are eating well. I only see 1 skunk tilefish at a time, not sure if both are still in there or not, as they/it are pretty shy as well, but at least they/it eat frozen mysis.

We started dosing nitrate, and are seeing a decline in the dinoflagellates. We also had to start dosing a liquid alkalinity supplement, as between the coral growth and the coralline starting to grow, the alkalinity dropped from 10.5 down to 8 in only 4 days time... so now we will be measuring alk daily, and dosing accordingly.

A few of the acros lost a little color while the nitrates were at 0, but have started coloring back up. Some of the other corals seem happier as well (mushrooms and zoas).

Update: unfortunately one of the skunk tiles was dead on the bottom of the tank this morning. Not sure what happened or which one it was, or if the 2nd one is even still in there. Have only seen 1 at a time and the CUC could definitely remove a body in no time.

Update: Dinos are almost completely gone, with dosing nitrates, the nitrates are now about 4ppm, phosphates are staying stable at 0.5ppm. Calcium is 465, mag is 1440, and alk is staying stable at 8.6 with dosing.

And our RBTA decided to split? It was one anemone yesterday and is 2 separate completely healed anemones today. The clarkii clowns don't seem to mind.
