i'd add one more at each corner, but that's just me.
I quick calculate compression and sheer North of 2k lb with the fasteners and dual uprights. Using 30 gallons with a 4x factor, I honestly think it will be a okay. My only concern was racking, which is why the rear spreader is there.

If it was holding my DT I would agree. It’s how I built the stand for the DT. But this will hold a small frag tank.

i get it.
my piece of mind, for what it cost, four more corners.

but then again, i'm afraid to put electrical under my tanks.
phobias.
Feels ya here.

With the 180 in one room and the sump stand in the next room behind it, I've decided my electrical controls will all be under the dt, and all equipment on the other side of the wall under the frag tank. I haven't had a reason Yet to be fearful of it but it's only a matter of time.

I need an electrician friend. That's one of the few DIY things I just don't feel comfortable doing. I also live in a house that was built in 71 with aluminum wiring, so there's that!

i was an aviation major in college.
residential house wiring was a pre req. no idea why, besides filling a class so a tenured prof could get over paid.
what i took away from the class was, let someone else play with electricity.

There was a whole conversation I missed lol

@sp1187 all my electric is located to right of tank
Should be safe
2 pc-100a hooked up half plugs in one half in the other
I may still add pieces to the front corners when I figure out what I’m gonna cover the front with

Well that stand didn’t build itself nor did it walk itself inside and load itself up. That and I keep getting bumped from my own thread! Shannagins!

After completing the stand it had to go to its forever home ( well until I move) and that meant a whole bunch more work. I’m exhausted. Think I’m gonna try and sleep.
