So I wake up this morning and do my usual fish count and feeding, but I didn't see my goby. Didn't pay to much attention to it because he usually is in his cave or digging a new one. About 30 minutes later I look and see something sticking out my anemone and low and behold it's my dang goby about to be swallowed. Smfh. From the pics below it looks like it was stung and suffocated.

Fish may have been weak/dead already. Does your nem always look like that? Is it just laying on the sand?

Fish usually know to stay away. I'll agree with the above. Something was probably already wrong with the little guy.

Possible. But unlikely. No signs of stress. Goby was active last night. No other fish showing signs of stress. Water parameters normal.

Perhaps chasing food and got too close? I have a blenny that flirts awfully close to my nems going after clam chuncks.

If thats a LTA they aren't sticky enough to hold a goby, especially a diamond sleeper. Those are incredibly strong fish. He was probably already on his way out. Fish can look healthy then not be hours later. They are only gonna show sickness when they can't hide it anymore. Way of surviving as long as possible
