Nursing some sick fish from New York Aquatic.. really surprised at the poor quality, could have got fish like this from my local Petco for half the cost..

"unlike" the fish pics, good luck! :(
Acans look great! :)

Thanks Simon, Acans are happy and a couple are already sprouting babies! :) .. treating the worst fish with food soaked in metronidazole, fresh water dips and keeping them quarantined in smaller tank with oversized UV sterilizer running 24x7.

Had to make a change in my ATO.. the lack of space in the pump section of my sump is going to prevent me from using the home brewed float system that I had originally planned so I looked at the sensor based ATO’s and settled on the Hydrofill Ti lots of good reviews including long term usage, very small Titanium sensors, built in fail safes and economical.. in keeping with my budget build theme I found one on sale for $21.00 off regular price and will be using a small pump I already have.

Next addition will be a pair of Wave makers.. going with jebao’s but having a hard time deciding on what model and size, caught a deal on a ow-25 for $50 on eBay so giving it a try.. if it’s to much I’ll add a ow-10 if it’s not enough I’ll add a ow-40.

OW-25 installed, this thing moves a ton of water and is completely silent also it’s the perfect size and power for my tank so I’ll be adding another one asap.

What mode are you running it on?

I typically run these in W1 (wave mode) but just for grins when I add another to my tank I’m going to try mode C (shift to flow).. in this mode one pump runs continuously while the other pulsates then they switch so the one that was running continuously pulsates and the other that was pulsating runs continuously.. you can adjust length of time between the pumps changing modes from 1 second to 1 minute.

I run an older rw 8 in the display, have you tried it on else mode? ;)

I have a RW4 in my nano and tried “else” but it was to much and started slopping water out of tank :) I will have to try it with the ow-25.

Lol a lot, it messes to much with my lps, the sps and zoas love it! ;)

This will be a LPS/Softy only tank for a long time so not getting carried away with flow.. will try to find a balance of keeping detritus suspended vs keeping my LPS happy.
