So I have went through the Iodine testing several times and it's extremely difficult for me to determine color shades at low values but It looks like I'm at appropriately 0.01-0.02 Iodide and 0.02-0.03 Iodate.. will focus on Iodide numbers and slowing bring them up to approximately 0.06 and see if I notice any difference.

My biggest concern with these test is the time between when sample is taken and when test is actually preformed, mailing something to Europe just seems like a bad idea between time and temp extremes the sample is potentially subjected to. I know they have state side testing now but still hesitating to do my own, seems excessively expensive for what it is. Not sure where marin labs are but if your sample has been sitting 6-7 weeks seems like it would most certainly skew results.
Marin lab was in orlando, state side, they are now in Lousiana or Alabama, i forget which. Yes. Its unacceptable honestly. My 1st round took 5 weeks. Prior to covid. No excuse imo. And now, im 2 months waiting for round 2 results?

Outrageous. Triton test kits are being ordered tonight.

Did I mention I like blue lighting? :) Im on the fence about ordering Reef Bright LED strips for my tank, was set on another coralbox but they have basically been nonexistent for months now. I made a post on reefbreeders asking about it and they ignored my thread while answering others before and after, time to move on.

Considering two of these Lumi Lite Pro's to flank my coral box, they get great reviews but IMO a little pricey for what they are and they have two power cords each as if I don't have enough cords.. lol

Mrs Retro just loves water making day.. lol. I go ahead make about 25-30 gallons at a time which is approximately a months worth, it takes most of the day @ 5 gallons every 80-90 minutes.

Thanks, works great 3 stages of carbon and 3 Di but Its a pain in the posterior to dig out and set up when I need water ;) I really wish I had a permanent spot to mount the system but it is what it is.

Mines under the kitchen sink. Water day is a pain. Future build shall have an auto water station.

Man that favia means business!

lol.. that's the thing about this favia, the feeders are out 24x7, really tough to get a good picture as it doesn't fluoresce under blues and actually looks a lot better in white light.

getting friendly with it's neighbor ;)
