Kalkwasser dosing system finally up and running.. seems to be working great and holding prime so now just need to get it dialed in. After gravity dripping Kalk in my tanks I’m super excited about this upgrade.

I have had a doser in it's box for a couple of years, I will eventually just automate my manual dosing, never used kalk, can / do you agitate it, does it settle out?

Kalkwasser is the Retro equivalent to 2 part
I mix it in a jug, let it settle then syphon off the clear sulotion for use in my tanks. I personally think it’s superior to 2 part, grows Coraline like nothing else and is not as dependent on Mg levels to keep it from precipitating out of solution.. the downside is you can’t add more Kalk than what your tank evaporates and because of that it may not be sufficient for a SPS dominated tank.

Hey Rich I was just over on your thread trying to catch up
I’ll get some pictures up shortly, nothing to exciting in the new order but it only cost me $50 out of my pocket.. although the acro is very nice the alvapora is only about a 1/8 of the size I thought it would be, the Zoa’s are just so so and the Ricordea rock is about a 1/4 of the size it appeared on there site (no dimensions given). Everything was from the live sale and I applied the $100 gift card to get it to $50, the order would have been almost $300 at regular pricing ;Facepalm
