Over the past month I've noticed my female getting bigger and more aggressive. And this morning she was swatting away a hermit crab. So I checked things out and noticed they both were cleaning off the stalk of my Green Toadstool. I knew right then she was ready....now I'm in freak out mode to get everything set up to rear the Frye....here is the link to the first video....another will follow of them actually laying the eggs. But I will keep this thread updated on the eggs.

Congratulations on the eggs! Great work on creating the healthy space for the fish to thrive!

So I had ordered a Rotifer Culture Kit as well as Decapsulated Brine Eggs from Rusalty via Ebay Friday night. I wasn't expecting it til tomorrow but i'm close enough to them it didnt take that long for shipping to me. I'm very impressed at how well everything was packaged and the information contained within the box/envelope as they were shipped separately. I did an unboxing video on youtube.....i'm not Bushka on Blitz when it comes to these things but give it time i'll learn even though the wife says you cant teach an old war horse new things.

Next time around lean a small tile where the female lays, and hopefully she will lay on the tile. They prefer flat areas, which is probably why she chose the base of the toadstool. The day before they are to hatch, you can remove the tile and place it in the grow out tank.

I had thought of that too. Hopefully I'll have a better hatch rate with the next round.
