My corals are receding even though all of my levels are correct.

My friend said he thinks it might be coral eating arthropods. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I think there are plenty of articles on here if you use the search at the top right. Also if you could post your parameters and some pics that would help.

Alkalinity is at 12 calcium at 400. nitrates 0. Plus I dose essentials elements for iodide, magnesium and strontium. I will post pic in a second when my camera battery charges. Got this is depressing.

The red flag for me is that alkalinity. Having it at that level can cause recession.

Thanks for the responses. I Usually try to keep alkalinity at 11. You think I should lower it even more?

I keep my alk in the 9-10 range. I have kept it around 12 before and never had issues with recession. I think the issue comes from if you normally keep your alk lower say around 8 or 9 and then it goes up to 12. I ran mine at 12 for around 9 mos to a year. With alk the key is stability and not having it rise or drop too fast. That is why you will see successful tanks with alk at 7 - 10. I quit keeping mine that high because I saw no benefits and was dosing a lot to keep it up. I had no issues while it was that high. Just my .02..
