Bought the containers from here https://www.ruralking.com/ace-roto-mold-25-gallon-vertical-dome-top-tank-vt0025-18.html with free shipping.

Just thought it might give some ideas. It works perfect on my 200 gallon setup. I change out 20 gallons every other week. I have a drain coming from my sump and then I just use the hose from the mixing station to fill back up. All together it takes less than 10 minutes to do a 20 gallon change.

I also have a separate line running from my rodi storage to a float valve in the sump that keeps the water topped off.

Looks great. Any problems with the smaller 5" top openings? I've been looking at those tanks as well from Rural King.

I have the same sized lid in my tanks. The RODI tank isn’t an issue whatsoever as I never get in it. The mixing tank, on the other hand, required me to cut the bottom off a 10” funnel, which I use. The hole was too small for my “deft” salt scooping skill. Honestly, it’s not a big deal.

It would be nice if the opening was a little wider. I buy Instant Ocean in the 200 gallon box that comes in 4 smaller bags. I just cut a corner off and pour in half the bag. Works great so far.

I will probably just switch to doing 50 gallon changes once a month. Then I can just dump in one whole bag at a time.

I use Tanks from the same manufacturer. They use the same lids. I find that I can mix salt very easily in these. They make great tanks.

Great setup, I am thinking to setup RODI, but the only space that I have is outdoor. Is ROdI ok if I install outside, I live in Southern California so temp won’t go lower than 30 in winter but summer may reach 110

Thanks

I've seen some people's holding tanks outside close to their wells. Don't remember where I saw it though. May have been on youtube.

My tanks started ourside. The only reason to bring them in was Montana weather. It can get to 20 below zero up here.
