Well, the tank is finally cycled and a major water change happened yesterday. Headed out for my first livestock this evening. Hope the LFS has some nice specimens to choose from!

We have added two more to the fam! I picked a Falco Hawkfish and my daughter picked an orchid dottyback. Everyone is getting along great!

The orchid looks red! Is that it's actual color or just the picture? Looks great!
Also, love your clowns and hawkfish!
Loving these livestock choices altogether!

The pic was taken with my iPhone. The orchid is a bright purple with the darker stripe at the eyes.
Thanks for the love!

If your orchid dottyback is anything like my neon dottyback, then you will need to add fish or inverts to the system very carefully and keep an eye on them. Mine sees all new additions as a threat to its territory and will sometimes be a little mean to them, although you can most likely avoid that aggression by adding something bigger than the dottyback!

So far my clowns rule the roost. They catch the Dottyback unaware sometimes and the chase is on. The Dottyback is still pretty timid and hanging close to the crevices in the rockscape.
