Any idea why the continuity probe is all over the place? Keeps slowly creeping up then back down.

The continuity probe is located to the far right in this pic. This would be before any dilution occurs from ato. It goes from tank to filter roller then into this chamber. The temp is pretty stable at 76 deg. I did find a post on neptune systems forum that mentioned soaking the probe for a week then calibrating it. If no other suggestions then this would be my next step before contacting neptune systems.

Yes the 2nd ground probe is in the return pump chamber but on opposite ends.

I changed the programming for my ATO and now it stopped logging. If I manually turn it on it will log. Not sure what us going on. The ATO is still keeping the return pump chamber at the correct water level.

Here is what i have programmed
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Output VIR_SUMPHI = ON Then ON
If Output VIR_SUMPMI = ON Then ON
If Output VIR_ATO_SW = OFF Then OFF
When On > 004:00 Then OFF

The VIR_SUMPHI is a virtual Output I created for the highest float in the return pump chamber.

Here is the programming for it
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If SumpHi OPEN Then ON
Defer 000:30 Then ON
Defer 000:30 Then OFF

The VIR_SUMPMI is a virtual Output I created for the mid level float in the return pump chamber.

Here is the programming for it
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If SumpMi OPEN Then ON
Defer 000:30 Then ON
Defer 003:00 Then OFF

The VIR_ATO_SW a virtual output I created as an on off switch. ATO_Lo is the float in the ATO tank. ATO_SW is a rocker switch.

Here is the programming for it
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Power Apex Off 000 Then OFF
If ATOLo CLOSED Then OFF
If ATO_SW CLOSED Then ON
Defer 000:10 Then ON

Does anyone know why it not logging based off of this info?

Writing this down and looking at it gave me an idea. I deleted the virtual switch and added that code to the other virtual output's.

ATO_PUMP_43
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Output VIR_SUMPHI = ON Then ON
If Output VIR_SUMPMI = ON Then ON
When On > 004:00 Then OFF

VIR_SUMPHI
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Power Apex Off 000 Then OFF
If ATOLo CLOSED Then OFF
If ATO_SW CLOSED Then OFF
If SumpHi OPEN Then ON
Defer 000:30 Then ON
Defer 000:30 Then OFF

VIR_SUMPMI
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Power Apex Off 000 Then OFF
If ATOLo CLOSED Then OFF
If ATO_SW CLOSED Then OFF
If SumpMi OPEN Then ON
Defer 000:30 Then ON
Defer 003:00 Then OFF

Let's see what happens.

Found the issue. The pump was not running cause it wasn't being commanded to. The siphon break was holding water. I found that the Float sensor was positioned too high in the tank and the Mechanical float attached to the water inlet was shutting off the water before the Float sensor was shutting of the pump. The water at that point was held in the line and as the Mechanical float opened it was refilling the tank. i readjusted the Float sensor and drilled a bigger hole in the siphon break. It's been working fine since. I got some help from SuncrestReef on the programming. Thanks for that. I didn't realize that the ON statements must come before the OFF Statements.

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If SumpMi OPEN Then ON
If SumpHi OPEN Then ON
If ATOLo OPEN Then OFF
If ATO_SW CLOSED Then OFF
If Power Apex Off 000 Then OFF
When On > 003:00 Then OFF
Defer 000:05 Then ON
Defer 000:05 Then OFF

It did a fishless cycle. So I added the sand and started a 2nd cycle to be sure. Also added 2 Coralife 14/16 Cabinets to each side for growing rotifiers and nannochloropsis.

Still waiting for Ammonia level to drop. o_O Taking forever it seems. Itching to get my clown back in his new home. Tested Nitrates and there are none. I have 32 gallons of saltwater on standby waiting to do the first water change.

Thanks I appreciate that. This is how the manifold is setup.

Valve 1 is the main return shutoff.
Valve 2 connects the UV Light Outlet to the main return line.
Valve 3 is to regulate the flow through the UV Light.
#4 is the flow sensor for the UV Light.
Pipe A is the Return Pump pipe.
Pipe B is the UV Pump pipe.
Pipe C is the Return Line.
Pipe D connects the UV Light outlet to Valve 2.

Both return Pump and UV Pump have check valves in the outlet lines.

Normally Valve 2 is closed. Valve 1 is open. Valve 3 is partially closed to regulate flow to 400 GPH.

If my return pump fails the I close valve 3 and open valve 2. This is backup mode for return flow to DT.

Finley is home once again. I've had this clown fish since 2006. This one is a real survivor. Been with me forever. Hopefully will remain with me forever.
