Update: Jan 24, 2020

I hit the jackpot with a Beach Bum Monti frag and Sunkist Bounce Mushroom frag! The bounce is about the size of a quarter, and the Beach Bum about the size of a dollar coin.
I got super lucky with some rare and usually expensive frags from a local Bay Area reefer!
Time will tell on how they do.

Nice work with the IM10! How is it doing? Any changes? I keep thinking about getting serious with my IM10 and turning it into a mini-reef.

Thanks man I appreciate that a lot!
It's certainly coming along, I'm going to start regular dosing. I got the BRS edition Apex, and I have a Neptune Dos coming tomorrow I believe. It's gonna help me be super consistent with dosing, and I know my corals will appreciate it! The IM10 is great, there's not a lot of room for fish if you don't have a skimmer. I'm gonna be getting one at some point for sure, namely the Tunze 9001.

TANK UPDATE (2/27/2020)
Big 'ole update time!
A lot has changed!
Not sure where to start so let's see where this goes. I got quite a few new corals since I got the Beach Bum Monti and the Sunkist Bounce. They can all be seen in the update photo at the top of the thread!
They include (in no particular order):
- Rainbow Acans
- Bowtie Blasters
- Utter Chaos
- Rastas
- Bozo Acans
- Teal Asia Acan
- Neon Green Birdsnest

Current setup!
I got a Trigger Systems 5 gallon ATO reservoir. Safe to say that I won't be filling up my reservoir as often anymore! It's half my tank volume! I also moved a small shelf next to my cabinet, and it fit perfectly! I always left so much stuff on the floor, and this cabinet has been insanely helpful in keeping my main cabinet and my floor clear.
Lastly... I got a Neptune ApexEL and a DOS!
BRS was selling just the EL head unit so I took advantage of it! I was going to get an Ecotech Versa, but since I got the ApexEL I figured I might as well get the DOS!

Sorry this was so long, I'll update more often so that the updates aren't so lengthy!
Send me your comments, questions, and concerns below!
Thank you! :)

UPDATE (March 16, 2020)

Some updates!
I did get a new AI Prime 16HD!
I'm running an AB+ Spectrum at the moment!
I don't have a par meter right now, so I DID accidentally run the light too bright for a day, and it led to some light bleaching on a few corals, namely the Neon Birdsnests.
The Beach Bum Monti isn't doing too hot. It was starting to get some color back but it looks slightly bleached as well. We will pull through!
The Rastas are also much more opened up!
I also got a new addition: A small WWC Dragonfruit Monti Frag!

It's encrusted a good bit on the plug. I think I'm gonna glue it on the top left of the rock if it keeps doing well!

Overall the one thing I want to do better is nutrient export. I do 2-gallon water changes every week, but it hasn't been enough. I'm gonna be in the market for a protein skimmer after I finish renting a PAR Meter from BRS.
There's some nice options. The Tunze 9001 and Icecap K1 Nano are both nice!

Thanks for everyone reading! Drop a like and have a great day :)

I’ve got a 40 total gallon and do wc every 3 days and it keeps nutrients in check and I never have to dose my esv. Read it in a book On reef keeping by Calfo I believe and has been a solid way so far.

Honestly I fill up the 5gallon bucket to the top and then fill it up from my storage container. It’s never exact. Pretty much through his study of marine environments he would do them as periodic as he could and even mentioned something about smaller more frequent instead of larger and less frequent to minimize large swings or shock.
