Well I had the opportunity to spend some time and get the Reef Brite Dimming module hooked up this weekend. After some back and forth, I finally got the Apex programmed properly and it's working beautifully. I ended up dragging out the camera, which I haven't done in quite a while, and grabbed some shots. Still not anywhere near where I would like them to be, but I simply need to spend more time with it. It's just never been a priority I guess. Anyway, here are some long over due, semi-decent shots of the tank:

You have been holding out on us! Looks great!

Thank You. Not holding out, just not using the DSLR much these days. Let's just say I had to charge the batteries before using it...lol.

Really nice pictures um I need to spend more money and get a camera lol

Thank You. It does help having nice equipment. Photography used to be another hobby of mine but I've been out of it for a long time. Still not great, but it's getting better.

Looking great David. Love how the pavona is extending.

Thank You. It's actually one of my favorite corals. I bought it with about three "branches" on it a long time ago. I actually had an accidental frag that is now growing out on the other side. You can actually see it in one of the pictures, next to my wife's tube anemone.

WOW ! ! ! Tank looks very impressive :)

Thank You. I don't know about impressive, but I can say I sure enjoy it.

That accidental frag is becoming a nice colony by now.
Your wife has a tube anemone in the tank? Good choice.
Every time my wife suggests something, it would eat all the other fish or destroy the coral. ;Happy

Hello, David
Your new shots look great :)

When I first read your build specs. you mentioned that you where going to fire up an calcium reactor.

Did you have a change of heart or did I miss it in your build?

Thanks, Freddie

Freddie, you didn't miss anything. I did have a calcium reactor I was going to use but I did end up going the dosing route. I never really figured out how to make the reactor work, even with the help of some locals.

I ended up picking up a GHL doser a few years ago, along with a slave version to it, and have been using them ever since. Rock solid and very consistent.

Well I added some livestock today for the first time in a long time. Chalking it up to another hurricane Irma expense! Added were:

Pintail Fairy Wrasse
Copperband Butterfly
3x Ignitus Anthias

Hard to get pictures and the couple I did get do not do them justice. Could only get a picture of one of the Anthias, but it will give you an idea.

Did you QT the new fish?

They were already QT'd when I purchased them from a good friend that I trust explicitly.
