No. I have a T5 hybrid light fixture hanging from the ceiling and I have a Red Sea mesh cover that I will be putting on.

I have mine suspended from the ceiling as well,,, I did not want to make a canopy that sat on my rimless tank. Just didn’t seem safe.
I used 3030 aluminum t-slot and pieced it together with hardware I 3D printed.. still need to install a cover on mine,,, can’t enjoy it, it’s blinding..

Thank you. I was actually gonna get one when I ordered the tank but decided to hold off on it for a bit. I did think it would be a good addition to the tank. Probably far better than socks but I haven’t did a lot of looking and asking around.

I gotta be honest. I’m not really sure off the top of my head. I usually fill it with Tupperware’s . Lol … I do know it’s about 3 days worth. The house is around 73 degrees and the water temp is 77. Rough guess would be 5 gallons.

Thank you for following up. Ya I want the Redsea 625 G2 but the Waterbox 180 which is comparable has a 10-13 gallon ATO separate tank

All I'll say is that the novelty of washing filter socks wears off pretty quick...

All I'll say is that the novelty of washing filter socks wears off pretty quick...

She'll like it even less after 3 months, trust me... There's an emoji menu along the top bar when editing/replying that starts with the "B". Look for the smiley face.

So spent the day scrubbing and basting rocks and doing a water change. Gotta say pretty happy with the outcome. Looks 100% better imo.
I have noticed some green algae coming in. Hopefully I am getting closer to getting some coralline algae on the rocks.

So funny story … if anyone is watching this thread. I drained my skimmer earlier (Red Sea 600) and I have a brs Gfo carbon reactor in the sun as well. Not running Gfo at this time just carbon. Anywho I must have accidentally knocked the hose out of the sump mot realizing it because after draining the skimmer I came back and the floor was drenched. I immediately thought my sump was leaking and started making calls just to find out that the hose from the reactor was leaking all my water out. So I immediately mixed a batch of water. I use the Io reef crystals at the moment . And filled the sump. I tested the salinity in the tank and it was fine so luckily the water was leaking rapidly enough to drain the ato water out as well. So valuable lesson learned. Turn off the pump for r shorten your hose to your reactor. Lom
