Reminds me of this little sinularia. When I first got it I had to temporally put the frag behind a couple of rocks, but it was so happy there that I decided to leave it in the back.

@dennis romano i can tell u that my purple sea blade that is photosynthetic has its polyps out 24/7. This yellow one retracts and polyps out. So would support what ur saying. Ty.
I havent really found or seen much for a fact or spread sheet on the critter.
Thanks again!

How long have you had it. They typically require large amounts of fine food. More than most systems can handle. They really should not be sold as 99% of aquarist can not keep one alive past 6 months.

This is aquacultered by my friend.
Ive had now prob 1 month now. I feed heavy 1 or 2 times daily. Broadcast. I havent added any coral or particulate foods yet.
I have rods corals food and reef labs gro formula ive yet to try.
It seems to be doing well. Ive cleaned it off one time. My friend said it will shead its skin like my sea blade eventually. I didnt see her mother when i purchased this "frag" from her.
I will take a pic of the mom and throw it up here one day.

Brilliant. Keep up that broadcast feed! I targeted mine for awhile and did well, then exploded under live phyto, last 2 months it withered away no matter what I did. :( ....mine in its 'heyday ' had about 9 months. Polyps not near as prolific as yours. Good job thus far.

Blew it off with the turkey baster today.
Yesterday or yesterday night i ran my fingers down up and down with the arms between my fingers to help clean off any algae.

I was thinking you might want to use some thing to reduce the light to the gorgonian since it does not need it and light will add to algae growing on. It doesn’t have to be dark but the more light it gets the more it’s (and you) are going to have to combat algae growing on it’s tissue. Good luck
