Good looking set up. I always enjoy a small tank...along with the large tank!

Update: My Tunze ATO came earlier this week and just put my first two corals in the tank today. Got a green Duncan and a small GPS frag for a rock I have towards the front of the tank. Went to World Wide Corals and the staff there was so helpful. It makes the entire hobby so much more fun when you have friendly staff to guide you along. [emoji122][emoji122]

The tank is still very young, but everything seems to be happy at the moment. Many many many plans for the future but right now I'm just focusing on corals. I'm new to the hobby so pretty much in love with every coral I see. I hear a lot of pros and cons about anemone, I'm kinda interested in getting one. Thoughts?

Very nice! I was looking at the 30 gallon at Reefapalooza couple weeks ago [emoji106] they had a nice set up
I just got into the hobby a little over a year ago and have had my tank set up for six months and bit the bullet to buy the JBJ 30 a little over a week ago. I wish that I had the money to go to Reefapalooza, but college is hindering that lol. How was it?

That Duncan is absolutely gorgeous! And just from my experience with GSP, I would put that on an isolated rock/island. In three months mine grew like a weed all throughout my liverock and I ended up getting rid of all 3-4 inches of it and the rock it was on and only kept a small piece I fragged on an island.

Well fortunately for me, I live in Florida so it wasn't more than some gas money to visit it. It was a really good showing, a lot of good info. You should check it out if you ever have the chance.

Yeah I know I'm the pictures it's hard to tell but the GSP is on a separate island/rock. It hasn't taken off yet but it definitely is showing growth. Which in this hobby is always a good sign.

I just found out about sympodium which is, in my opinion, a better looking GSP that grows fast, but not fast enough that you have to worry about it like you do GSP

Tank is almost 8 months old and is doing great.I haven’t added to many corals in the past few months. Ive realized like everything I read about, I will need a larger light if I want to continue expanding on corals. Until I have the extra money to shovel out, I’ve been focused on maintaining good water quality. So far I have been lucky and have not had any major hiccups since starting this project. I have 6 fish in the tank but look like to see it eventually around 10-12 fish total.

The tank has been up for about 15 months now. I’m been lucky and have had no major issues.

Hey, I just happened to see this thread as I was flipping through R2R. I am new to R2R. Haven't touched a fish tank in over 10 years, but about 8 months ago my wife surprised me with a saltwater tank. The first one was a 28 gal JBJ nano. We quickly realized that the 28 gal wasn't cutting it for us so now we have the 45 JBJ rimless. I love the tank. I have 4 fish and some inverts. Bought a few corals for the first time EVER, however, I don't think they are doing to well because I have an emperor angel that likes to pick on the corals. Anyway it's nice to meet all of you. Where is everyone from? My name is Kenny and I'm from Orlando, FL.
