This morning I decided the 5 gal water tote next to my sump was a pain to keep working with. I can’t see what’s left in there, and ya never know when it’s empty.

I grabbed scrap 1/4” acrylic I had laying around. More black than clear, but that does not really matter much.

Did some measuring and lots of cutting.
If you go super slow on the table saw, you can get nice clean cuts, after that I started sanding with 120 grit, Then 800 grit, then 1200 grit and then I gave up and said forget the 2k grit.. it’s good enough.

Slapped the scraps on the 90 degree holder I had so I am able to glue them together.

Used Weldon #4 and then laid down a slim layer of 100% silicon to make sure there are no leaks from my welding job.

Quick 1 hour fill test to check for leaks

I added a 1/4 ID hookup for my RODI hose for easy filling.
Another one at the bottom so I can run it right to my aqua lifter and float switch.
If my calculations are about right. This is a 13 gal tank. It should give me about around two weeks of coverage before it needs filled again.
I’m at about 5+gal a week

Found its forever home.
