I recently got a Magnifica from Dr Mac at PEA. First rate service, healthy and beautiful anemones. There are more there in case anybody want to get one (or a few). I absolutely love mine. Three color tentacles. Purple-ish oral plate with first part of the tentacles. Then green and blue-purple tipped

I already have one Mag but I picked up a Gigantea carpet from Dr Mac recently. I still have it in quarantine but it also came in very healthy. Thee all look like really solid Magnificas. Great colors. Getting one that clones is a nice bonus!

Beautiful. Any tricks to getting them to stay put or is it just trying to have a place they should be comfortable and hope it works out?
I have an established 180g and have a spot center and up high where one would be perfect as a enter piece but it's really the only spot for one so if it's not happy there it would be interesting. Bubble tips have been staying put there for the last few years. I would be removing those of course.

If you give it high light and high current and a flat piece of rock that is about 5x5 inch it will stay. Especially if it cannot touch anywhere else that is as high or higher. If in order to get to higher light and current it have to craw down, then it won’t.

Did you qt it before adding to the DT ? I would strongly suggest you do , I visit PEA alot ..and I've seen 1st hand that some of those mags in that system have the dreaded inflate/deflate disease going on..I've been fortunate -since I can select in person , picked 4 very healthy specimens .. 1 I got at another visit (different batch) needed treatment ..
On a positive note : because they are in a greenhouse system - they get tons of natural sunlight at PEA and dr mac feeds them as well.. so most are in excellent condition ..
Don't hesitate to purchase there , just be smart about putting them straight into you DT.

Any chance you could look at their current offerings and let me know if one is similar to this beauty? I have been looking to get one of these and your post has pushed me over the edge. I would love one of similar coloration.

Thanks

Gorgeous piece by the way..i am very envious.

While I did not see these anemones in person prior to purchase, I highly recommended that QT is needed when you have healthy Magnifica in your system. My anemone was treated, and it was a breeze to do with proper equipment.

My Magnifica is on a platform 6x6 ceramic tile 6.5 inches below the water level, right under my Radion XR30 G3 Pro at 5.5 inches above the water level 100% on all Chanels for 12 hrs a day plus ramp up of 30 mins in AM and 30 mins PM.

Correction it is a 4X4 ceramic tile.
