I first saw the most beautiful Magnifica I ever seen in person on 11/12/2020. A friend of mine texted me on 11/12/2020 that Corpus Christi Petco had 6 Magnifica in that day. They usually get shipment in Tuesday and Thursday. He told me that they don't look too good. I went to Corpus Petco that evening after work. They indeed got 6 sick looking Magnifica anemones in, in a stagnant, low light tank. Some deflated and with open mouth. I took a few pictures of these anemones on the day they arrived to Petco.

IMO, the chance for me to get them to live though this is only 50% at best so I did not buy them. I always have QT and medication to treat them at home but I just did not want to go through the trouble, and also we are going out of town fro Thanksgiving so treatment of a sick anemone is tricky if not impossible at best when I am out of town for a few days.
Return home on 11/27/2020, I went to Petco just to look around. All 6 anemones were still there. They are a little better but far from been keep under optimal condition. I was surprised that they live for 2 weeks under such condition. I talk to the Salt water manager and was able to get her to give me a 30% discout for the anemone in the first picture above. It has some air within it's body. This is a sure sign of infection. Bacterial produce gas when they break down and decompose organic. It is the most colorful of the six anemones. The price prior to discount was 89.99.

Below are picture of this anemone under treatment in my HT

Current pictures on 03/19/2021. This is absolutely the most beautiful Magnifica anemone I have ever keep. I hope he will be with me for a very long time. The spectrum of the light in my DT is the same. I use Radions from G2-G4 pro, all channels are 100%, but use the natural bell shape intensity. I also have 5500 LED flood lights (3) on the tank, but the flood lights are not spot on my Magnifica. They are on my Gigantea, which IME require more light. The color change have been remarkable. I never dream that this anemone can be so beautiful. It is certainly the most beautiful Magnifica I have seen in person.
In the back ground is my Purple tipped Magnifica which looks common in comparison to this beauty. Also, on the R side is remnant of a Acropora colony that was wipe out by this anemone.
Wish me luck. I really hope to have this anemone for many years to come.

That’s the one I’ve been looking for, usually out of Africa or Sumatra I believe or thereabouts.

I lost one in hurricane ike. That one just had the yellow tentacles. Yours has a beautiful bicolor I guess you’d say?

The back story is golden too lol.

I’m so jealous. I’ll be upgrading to a 30x30 cube in roughly a year with the intentions of having a magnifica as the centerpiece. I hope I’m as lucky as you when the time comes to buy one. Seriously, let me know if it splits. I’m in Austin and will come pick it up in exchange for a big sack of cash! Nice job getting it healthy and beautiful.

Question since you said they weren't doing too well initially what is your treatment regiment?

I just "knew" that it was infected in that small holding tank with dying anemones, and have gas internally which was, in itself, evidence of infection. I used the Cipro protocol in my write up here:

Wow beautiful anemonee! I never knew you could treat them with medication. I have always considered them such mystical creatures and am drawn to there beauty and movement. I have only had luck with the red bubbles everyone else has luck with and condylactis which are super easy. All other long tentacles and bubble tips look great and turn to a disgusting and smelly mush and die in a few days. Do you think mine were infected too?
