I did have a sea hare that didn't mind cyano but died for whatever reason. Guess I could look into other cyano eating critters.
Thats actually a good idea just doing one tub. I did remove most of crushed coral and crushed up some live rock for rubble and nothing really grows on it besides coraline algae. Not really too worried about critters coming from sump it would be more on safe side. I did find a cpl crabs I wouldn't want hanging out anywhere else tho.

Couple full tub shots this afternoon. I did clean them his morning. I guess its not to bad right now. I have a battery powered gravel vac that rigged up with a filter sock to cycle vacuumed water back into tub itself. Works like a charm honestly keeps water clear and does the job. Takes about 10 minutes to do both tubs.
And a few single shroom shots using wifes magnifying picture taking method :)

Ok few more pictures and I'm done I promise :)

I do realize this is not a shroom but it has earned a spot on the table:) This coral is incredible to look at under blues. Pictures can't do it justice i just took quite a few but can't portray what it actually looks like right now.

if it keeps that marbling when it grows more, that would be very cool.

Some quick pictures from the underbelly:)
Right now we have a porcupine puffer and orange spotted filefish in one sump.
In the other we have a pair of snowflake clowns and bicolor blenny.
Just added puffers new tank mate earlier and it hasn't stopped poking at glass on skimmer :) And they are hanging out already.
I have 2 separate 65 gallon tubs, connected with 300 lbs of liverock total mostly between them. Skimmer in both res.
A few pounds up top on a table that my wife has claimed and has began gluing frags on said rocks and has pretty much taken over a table until she gets her better than mine DT built that im supposed to build :)
Its going to be better she says ;)
And I respond ( not outloud) of course it is because im going to build it:)

Cpl pictures from earlier. The hard work and daily vacuuming is kinda getting the job done. Seems like as long as I stay on top of it its not too bad and may be able to get under control.
Only drawback I'm having with shallow tubs is the mushrooms don't like alot of flow. Which turns into a big issues with not being able to keep flow on sand bed.
It is what it is I guess.

Let me be perfectly honest. I didnt even see the darker marbling happening on deadpool until I took a better look at the magnified picture lol. Wife wins again.
Also can't get enough of this Poletti lineage JB from @Reefpro. The solid green though. Marbling is really starting to take off as well. :)

Also @BighohoReef
I started a new build Journal to track the progress of the mushroom garden build.
So far so good just dealing with the uglies of using crushed coral instead of crushing up liverock.
Still debating on what to do with it as I can't stand looking at the uglies!

Now that's real live rock. I don't think even Tampa Bay live rock looks like that these days. It use to years ago, but I don't think they let it sit in the ocean near as long these days.
Where did you get that rock and how long have you had it?

I got my rock from gulfliverock dot com.
Its considered the premium rock. Dan told me the area he pulled it from had 18-25 years growth on it. Its been in my system for about 8 months:)

Here's a hitchhiker I got on one of the pieces nearly 7 inches fully open. Judging by the size id say these pieces where sitting in ocean for quite some time.
