Down to the hard ones man but done for the day. Whatever this hairy stuff is its ruthless. Leave a little tiny spec of dirty and its full blown hair algae next day. All my Neptune have pretty much melted on me. Some of these shrooms do not like it.

Alright man got sucked back in haha. I'm totally down to the hard one. Magic carpet just started taking off and she's stuck to both discs. Gonna take some serious surgical precision to get it right and not sure if I even want to do it. Can't stand the thought of leaving in system tho:(

Do you have a refugium?
Hi Pico I do not have a dedicated fuge but I do run 2x65 gallon sumps full of live rock.
I recently built a cpl algae turf scrubbers as well as plan on putting an assortment of sea plants/macros in one of them. Kinda bummed that I didn't take care of my gulf rock when I got it it came with just about every macro you could imagine on it. So plan it just to get some more in system for diversity and hope it helps with nutrient export. I feed heavy and like to keep my Nitrates closer to 15ppm give or take. Ive actually been dosing phosphates to get them up around .06-.08 for no other reason than to not let them bottom out running higher nitrates. I have a cpl shrooms that demand higher Nitrates and don't do much without them available.
I plan on converting my 2x65 gallon heavy duty totes to 2x65 gallon aquariums down the road. Im going to blackout a section in one of them to dedicate to fuge area. But also use them to house mom colonies and other stuff I cant do up top.
Here's what I have right now. I may take that long ats out depending on what the little more compact one does with the red light.

Gotcha. They are awesome. I've got two sitting in my garage with all of the live rock that was removed from both tanks.
Its funny I can house all my camping gear in a cpl of them and a cpl more 300lbs of live rock haha. Wife has a cpl for decorations and all her pack rat stuff too:D

After moving so many times with the military, I'm very much in the "if you haven't opened that box in 2 years, throw it out" camp. My wife wants to keep Everything. Constant struggle to not be pack rats.

On the other side of wall is closet for reef room where I have 20 gallon tall drilled and converted to act as automatic top off gravity fed to float in sump#1

The system.

Closed loop from bottom left up to tables #1-4 across and back down to sump#2 on far right.
Sump#2

Extra return up to table #3 -4 and everything Overflows to Sump#1 and cycle is repeated.
Don't mind the pictures some are old and super ghetto and alots changed and been cleaned up:)
I'll probably end up editing this post and adding my algae turf scrubbers and such.

These bad boys should take care of that algea! Good job on the DIY.
It is so far. Ive been on serious clean up mode lately so i know thats helping keep the tables on point. But I know the turf scrubbers are also doing what they are intended to do because sure enough when I clean them and start process over I do have a little want to pop up on tables.
I'm trying to let them go as long as possible now and clean them intermittent. Let one grow while the other catches back up I guess.
